TERMS
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is voluntary process and relationship requiring your commitment as well as ours.
All therapists at InclusiMind are registered with their relevant professional bodies.
This is to ensure that you receive good service and means that we are accountable to a higher national organisation.
InclusiMind offers consecutive, weekly psychotherapy sessions which preferably take place at the same day and time each week.
Research has shown that weekly therapy sessions have the best therapeutic outcome.
You can have as many sessions as you like; InclusiMind does not impose a maximum number.
We understand that some clients, such as those working shifts, are unable to commit to sessions at the same time each week and, in such instances, we aim to be as flexible as possible.
We will offer you another session time if there is availability.
All sessions are 50 minutes long.
The therapeutic relationship with your therapist will always remain a professional one.
Research has shown that preserving a strictly professional relationship between client and therapist guarantees the client with a safe confidential space for self-exploration without external influences.
Payment
Each session costs £35 for online therapy and £55.25 face to face (priority client) paid in a subscription basis for four consecutive weeks.
This allows us to negotiate therapeutic goals and evaluate progress at the end of the session cycle.
Please be aware that all payments are non-refundable. Therefore, if you choose to commit to a psychotherapy with us, carefully consider your availability to attend all scheduled sessions.
We are obligated to offer you the sessions you agreed to and paid in full. If agreed payments for therapy are not being paid in full, we reserve the right to not start with the therapy.
You are free to end your sessions whenever you wish with two weeks’ notice prior to your next payment cycle.
If you require additional sessions within the same period, each extra session will be charged at the same rate—£35 for online sessions and £55.25 for face-to-face sessions.
Please inform us in advance if you wish to schedule more weekly sessions so we can arrange a therapist with availability to accommodate your needs.
Communication
Your therapist may not always be available for immediate phone conversations. Therefore, the preferred method of contact is through written correspondence.
Portal messages and emails are considered valid forms of written correspondence.
Messages and emails should be sent between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
We are expected to be polite in all correspondence.
The therapy session will occur within the scheduled hours. If you require additional support, you can always book an additional hour.
If we feel or you let us know about potential risk of mental breakdown between the sessions, you will be provided with crisis helplines.
Session Cancellation
Planned breaks are possible. If you intend to take a holiday please will ask you to give at least two weeks notice.
We ask that you give 48 hours notice of a cancellation. This allows us to accommodate changes and manage our schedules efficiently.
Should you give less than 48 hours notice you will be charged for the missed session.
We understand that life can be unpredictable and there may be times when you need to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances. In these cases your therapist might offer you an alternative date and time.
Should we need to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances you will be offered an alternative dates and times.
To cancel a session please contact us on info@inclusimind.co.uk or send a message via you client portal or our website about your intention of cancellation.
We reserve the right to cancel a session if you arrive whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.
InclusiMind maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any rude or inappropriate behaviour.
Rudeness, threats or acts of violence will invalidate our agreement and your treatment plan will cease.
Missed Appointments
Consistency and commitment are important for a good therapeutic outcome.
The subscription covers weekly therapeutic support, whether or not sessions are attended.
Attendance does not affect the subscription terms; non-attendance is treated as a potential therapeutic matter, often tied to psychological avoidance.
Subscription cancellations apply only to future billing periods, and all payments already made are non-refundable.
Online Sessions
It is important that our sessions together are confidential.
Please therefore make sure you are in a suitable space which is comfortable, safe and private with stable Internet connection. Your therapist, in return, will do the same.
In case of any technical difficulties, we agree to disconnect and try again. If we are still unable to connect, your therapist will telephone you and we can agree to reschedule the session or, with mutual agreement, use the time for a telephone session.
You will be provided with video link prior to your session.
The presence of third parties is not permissible during therapy sessions.
Should you desire the presence of an external individual in the room, this must be coordinated in advance, along with how the presence of the external individual will contribute to their therapeutic process.
If you are unable to meet the requirements for online therapy, we have right to terminate the session due to impossibility of conducting.
Confidentiality
It is our intention that the contents of our therapy sessions are kept confidential as we feel it is important that you are able to discuss whatever you like with me without fear of recrimination or judgement.
However, this needs to be balanced with our ethical requirement to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.
There may be times when the information you disclose is of such gravity that confidentiality cannot be maintained. In such a situation your therapist would always try to discuss this with you before taking any further action.
It’s important that you know that the law may forbid our normal confidentiality in the following circumstances:
If we become aware, or have a good reason to suspect, that you have knowledge of:
An incident/situation that may be dangerous or harmful to a child, you or another adult, and that is not known to the relevant authorities. In these circumstances your therapist will work with you to see if we can work together to make appropriate disclosures.
It is also compulsory to inform the police if I became aware of serious criminal offences such as terrorism, potential radicalisation, money laundering, child abuse and female genital mutilation to the appropriate authorities.
If we believe that you were unable to keep yourself safe until our next therapy session together, we would follow the safety policy of InclusiMind and/or create a safe plan for you. We may contact your GP clinic for external support. In such a situation your therapist would always try to discuss this with you first.
